CBN rolls out 27,000MT of paddy rice to crash price
The apex bank, Central Bank of Nigeria on the 23rd June, 2021 said they had concluded plans to distribute 27,000 metric tonnes of rice paddy directly to millers nationwide effective 24th June,2021.
The purpose of this initiative is to address the rising cost of rice across the nations. However, the move was undertaken with partnership with Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria.
The CBN and Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria had assured everyone that prices of rice will reduce drastically, once it is harvest time
